Sabbath School Program

WELCOME!

You are invited to participate in the discussion of the weekly Adult Sabbath School Lesson.

Despite the challenging times that we live, let us press along in faith, knowing that God's in control and making the necessary provisions for us to continue studying His Word as a church body.

The Adult Sabbath School Class is being held virtually beginning at 10 a.m. every Sabbath.

Here are the links for the Livestream:

  • FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/OldWestburySDA
  • VIMEO CHURCH ONLINE: https://livestream.com/owsdachurch

We encourage everyone to study your lesson during the week and on Sabbath tune in to deliberate together. Please feel free to post your comments and questions both on the Vimeo Livestream or Facebook Live.

All the materials for your study are found on our church website or Facebook page.

Sabbath School Study

From its inception Sabbath School has focused on four emphases that are still prominent to this day: fellowship development, community outreach, Bible study, and foreign mission. A solid balance of these elements characterizes the most vital Sabbath Schools around the world.

Based on these four emphases, from its beginning in 1853, Sabbath School membership has exploded from a handful of believers in upstate New York to an estimated 14 million today.

“Sabbath School is one of the most important parts of Sabbath. It gives us the opportunity for fellowship, mission understanding, outreach and one of the greatest parts, Bible study and discussion. What a privilege to be able to study our Bible and the Adult Bible Study Guide in a small group setting and make the wonderful biblical instructions practical for our spiritual experience the next week. No one should miss Sabbath School!”—Ted N C Wilson, president, General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.

We offer the following types of classes from which to choose from.  So, come and find one that you can contribute to and receive a blessing.
